Microsoft's Worst Enemy
Okay, with all this talk about OS X coming to the x86 platform and Linux usage increasing, you'd think Microsoft would be fully concerned about this but no Microsoft's worst enemy is older versions of Windows. The bottom line is that most computer users don't upgrade because they don't see a need to upgrade because it works for them. So now Microsoft has to not only convince people not to switch operating systems but to change to there latest and greatest and with most people running older versions of Windows, hence Microsoft is a its own worst enemy.

that's deep. I never knew that or thought of it that way. But I see your point. Microsoft appeals to a wide range of people--and lots of us often struggle with our computers. Thus--if it ain't broke.
I am curious about trying another --i don't even know what it is--but I am so illiterate that I'm afraid the system would not be friendly to me and I would break it.
