Apple Strikes Agian

Today Apple announced a new iMac with some very cool features, a new ipod with video capabilities, and iTunes 6. Okay first of all since I normal don't do this yay! new gadget to drool over think let me point out why I'm doing this post. The new iMac has gotten a serious upgrade with an integrated camera and a bluetooth remote, now this just may be silly, but if it takes it show Apple's push into the home media center. Next iTunes 6 supports video purchasing, come on we all saw it coming, but now you can purchase TV show's, which means that this has the potential to be huge since its one of bigger pushes to provide legal TV content online. So you may wonder what this means? Well in short if it's popular enough then purchasing shows online may become the norm, giving the consumer more options to view media, but this may be the first step to showing that online demand digital content, is profitable. The updated iPod has been rumored for a while and shouldn't be too much of a shocker, but it does seem like Apple will be selling a lot of iPods this holiday season.
